Our school is a BEACON school and partners with the Southern Queens Park Association, Inc (SQPA)

SQPA was established in 1976 with the mission to coordinate and provide comprehensive programs for children, youth, adults, families and seniors residing in Southern Queens. Beacon - SQPA is a school-based community center that offers comprehensive and integrated services to more than 1,200 community members annually.  Acting as a community hub,  youth and adults in the neighborhood are invited to access resources, supports, opportunities, and services such as:

• Youth Academic and Enrichment Support such as homework help, technology, arts and crafts, culinary classes
• Sports; health and fitness activities such as cheerleading, track, tennis, basketball etc.
• Performing Arts;  dance , theater, chorus,  rap, stage and design
• Community Service Learning Projects
• Peer mediation and conflict resolution
